Learn how to prepare healthy and affordable meals using fresh produce and other ingredients to reduce your risk for cancer and other health problems. Our registered dietitians will:

Demonstrate a healthy recipe and provide recipes to try at home

Answer questions and share information on healthy eating

The GRACE Youth Advisory Council sponsored activities for all Summit residents at the Summit Family Aquatic Center. Music was provided by DJ Danny Roselle and pool access was provided for all our GRACE families.

On April 13 we held a meeting with local residents to discuss our newly developed logistics. We invited the entire community to join us on Tuesday, May 23 at at the Community Center to unveil our latest plans. This next chapter will enable the most stabilizing support for our families to date.

Giving back 50% of the days proceeds! Along with their regular offerings of classic American desserts baked from scratch, Brownie Points Bakery featured two delicious specials on their duffin menu for the day - Apple and Key Lime, to match with the symbols of GRACE. Tying into the image and message of GRACE with apples and limes, GRACE is a nonprofit organization that focuses on fresh, seasonally and culturally relevant produce for their weekly distribution.

March 2023

GRACE prepped early for our holiday season, with a mission to support the closing of a beloved toy store that has served the Summit community for many years, bringing smiles and joy to children and families. The Toy Professor is going out of business this year and offered a deep discount and donations of final stock to be given out to our neighbors in need during our December 2023 GRACE distribution holiday celebration, as a way to help all our families celebrate the holidays and season of giving together.

Officer Sean Pfeiffer from NJ Transit Police joined the GRACE Youth Advisory Council to answer questions and share insights about community policing with our high school student volunteers.

We invite you to join us and “Follow the Stars” as we partner with local businesses for a day of giving back. On December 3 shop downtown Summit and #followthestar. Shop at the businesses with the STAR balloon marquee and a portion of your purchase will benefit GRACE.

FREE and open to all Summit community members. On Thanksgiving Day the Summit Department of Community Programs and GRACE hosted a free Thanksgiving meal at the Community Center in Summit. The catered meal included roast turkey, traditional side dishes, pies, and other desserts, as well as coffee and beverage service. Co-sponsored by FLAG of Summit, GRACE, Oakes Memorial Center, Bristol Myers Squibb and Brandywine Senior Living. Join our community for dinner with live music, arts and crafts, a movie and open gym.

Fall 2022 Fundraising Drive

Laundry is the number-one requested item GRACE cannot afford to offer frequently. Dirty laundry is one of the more important factors in local truancy. In partnership with Sustainable Haus, donation supplied 600 local families with eco-friendly detergent.

There’s a Sale on Winter Wear! GRACE is already busy working on increasing our supply of much needed winter coats and accessories. Would you be able to help us prepare to meet the increasing needs of our community? Last year we made sure 400 people had a warm coat for the winter. Thank you for being part of our village!

In honor of the ones you call Mom, we invite you to consider a donation to GRACE this Mother’s Day. Sponsor a distribution item for a week and receive naming rights for that week, in honor of the best Mom in your life. For every donation, of any amount, GRACE will plant a flower seed to grow at our distribution site, to welcome our community with smiles this season.

Our first silent auction. There were so many fantastic choices ranging from vacations, local shopping and dining, events for the family, and personal items. There was something for everyone. Every dollar raised is a dollar to uplift and empower our GRACE community.
